🌿 Field Update

May Recap:
The second-warmest spring on record (even if it didn’t feel like it!). The late May rain impacted strawberries, but the rest of the field is thriving.

💐 Flowers:
Exploding with blooms! Spring varieties are wrapping up while summer varieties—including sunflowers—are just beginning.

🍓 Strawberries:
Still picking in Fields 1-3. The Ruby Junes and Fronteras are hanging in there. Not as many but they are definitely available.

🫐 Blueberries & 🖤 Blackberries:
Both crops are looking fantastic. Pick your own is open and pre-picked blackberries are on the table now. Blueberries for the table should follow by June 9th.

🍅 Tomatoes & Veggies:
Sungold cherry tomatoes are in now. Slicing tomatoes for pick-your-own are expected by the second week of June. Ivy Place grown slicing tomatoes are on the table now for purchase.
✅ Green beans & cucumbers are abundant and delicious!

February Newsletter- The Ivy Place Berry Farm Dear Farm Family, Holy Antarctica, y'all. What a month January was! We started out with some beautiful 78-degree days, only to be plunged down to 14 degrees less than a week later. If you’ve lived around here for a while, you know our Carolina weather likes to keep us on our toes, but this was a wild one even for us. Honestly, we needed some cold weather to keep the plants dormant, but we’d sure prefer it stayed above that 15-degree mark. Late...

January Newsletter- The Ivy Place Berry Farm Dear Farm Family, If you were to drive past the farm this morning, you’d see a field that looks like it’s at least half asleep. We often get asked, "Are you worried about the plants in this cold?" The truth is, we actually welcome it! To give you the sweetest harvest possible, our berries require what we call "Chill Hours." Think of it as the farm’s internal alarm clock. Each plant needs a specific number of hours between 32 and 45 degrees to...

December Newsletter- The Ivy Place Berry Farm ❄️ Ivy Place Berry & Flower Farm — December Newsletter Hi friends! As 2025 winds down, we’re feeling grateful for another beautiful year on the farm. The early winter weather has been just what we needed — a little cold, a little damp — helping the plants rest and recharge. Most of all, we’re thankful for you — our family, friends, and farm community who supported us all year long. We’re already hard at work preparing for the 2026 Farm Season, and...
